Federal ministry of Youth and Sports in response to the protest against the age cheating test conducted last Thursday at the ongoing National Youth Games , NYG have commenced a second round review test for those that failed the initial exercise.
The ministry officials , Friday ordered athletes, who failed the first hurdle to return back to Unilorin Main Bowl to undergo retest.
Our correspondent who visited the venue where the age cheating test is been performed reports that, 30 minutes prior to the 2:30 stipulated for the official opening of the games, athletes were still been screened to determine their qualification to compete in the games.
The second round screening exercise is coming , after medals have been won and loss in games like, swimming, gymnastic and cycling, our correspondent reports.
Pyramidsportsnews.com reports that the immediate past director grass root development at the ministry, Ademola Aare is superintending over the exercise.
It will be recalled that mass protest have continued to trail the initial outcome of the age cheating test.
Though the exercise was officially fixed to end by 12am, on Friday, as at 1:55pm the second round of the age cheating scrutiny was ongoing, our correspondent reports.
