A team of European football scouts under the umbrella of Soccer 60 Goals Soccer Star Project have arrived the ancient city of Kano to conduct a football U-16 talent hunt exercise slated to kick off , June 1st.
The licensed agents addressing sports writers at Tahir Guest Palace in Kano on Tuesday said their recruitment mission to Kano was incited by the records that indicated that there were a vast number of young and talented players that were available to be recruited .
The Chief Executive Officer, 60 Goals Soccer Star Project also a FIFA intermediary agent, Jane Ndubuisi stated that the project is introduced as a tool to empower Kano youths through football.
According to her, football is now a multibillion dollar industry that has transformed from diminishing the lives of children from impoverish communities to richness and stardom.
Jane said “we are here therefore, to pick talents and to help them achieve their dreams”.
She urged parents to encourage their wards to take up football career mingled with academics.
Speaking, UEFA licensed football technician Miroslav Marjanovic stated that the team of recruiters were in Kano with the intent to recruit talented footballers, who poses the skills to excel in the industry.
He said “ youths from rural areas will be giving opportunity to showcase their talent, the best among them are going to selected.
“ My hope is that many of the players here in Kano are going to make it, so that they can achieve something for themselves and their immediate society. Miroslav stated.
The president , 60 Goals Soccer Star Project and Ex Nigerian U-23 player, Francis Ikechukwu in his remarks emphasized that their scouting journey to Kano is to sought for the best future legs.
In his words “We are picking best of the best to give them opportunity, we don’t care how many academy will come to our base, we know how to handle them.
“What we need is the talent and it’s only your ability that will give you the chance no matter what, because we don’t know corruption”.

noted that the recruitment exercise is packaged to give youth payers the avenue to express themselves with the chances to proceed an excel in as professional footballers
The chairman , Kano state Football Association, KSFA Sherif Rabiu Inuwa Ahlan applaud the football recruiters for staging the exercise in the state.
Ahlan represented by the secretary Kano state Football Association, KSFA, Shehu Buhar said “we will give you all the support that you need to succeed, we thank you for coming to Kano and we wish you success”
Among the dignitaries present at the press briefing were the chairman Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Kano council, comrade Abbas Ibrahim, chairman, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Kano chapter, Zahradeen Saleh, chairman NU Kano Correspondent chapel, comrade Ibrahim Shuaib Garba, chairman Nigeria Football Coaches Association, NFCA, Magistrate Ibrahim Gwadabe amongst others.
