Kano state governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has boasted that despite all odds, Kano Pillars football club will clinch the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL title at the end of the season.
Ganduje strongly expressed his optimism that Sai Masu Gida will be crowned champions at the end of the ongoing title chase.
The governor, made the statements , during a Democracy Day media chat with members of NUJ Kano Correspondent chapel, held at the ante chamber hall located inside Kano Government House on Monday, hinted that the state government will motivate the Kano state government sponsored NPFL club side to success through the mass deployment of logistics.
He added that the state government is conscious of the sacrifices been made by the players , officials and millions of supporters of the club, who are thirsty for the most coveted football crown in the land.
Ganduje further added that , all machineries have been strengthened to pull the team to berth on the continental football dock next season.
He said ‘ we will do all that we can so that the team can succeed, we will not reveal all our tactics, there are things we are doing that we will not tell you.
“yesterday(Sunday) we scored a goal that was disallowed, that will not deter us, though it was a subject of debate in all parts of the mega city of Kano, nevertheless, our players and coaches know the terrain and ours is to give them the needed support and we will continue to do so, to make Pillars fans and the entire football loving people of Kano happy.” Ganduje stated.
