Kano set to host first women league football club side

Except for last minutes changes, Kano state in the forth coming Nigeria women football season will play host to an indigenous league club side named Pyramid City Babes football of Kano.
Our correspondent reports that the club is founded by a not for profit organization Sports Without Borders Development Association, SWIBODA in collaboration with other stakeholders in the state.
SWIBODA stated that the motivation behind the establishment of the women football club, in the state is to promote health development through sports.
Noting further that the club will help , to promote issue of inclusion through football and to create awareness on social issues.
Our correspondent gathered that the state Football Association have been formally notified about the establishment of the club the first in the football history of the state.
Further stating that , Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL have received formal notice from the management of the club indicating their interest to fly the flag of the state on the national women football stable.
