NFF laments poor  condition  of  football  stadiums  in Nigeria

Nigeria Football Federation,, NFF stadia inspection  delegation  , led by Nasiru Jubril , Sunday at Sani Abacha stadium  in Kano  has expressed  worries  over the poor state of football stadia across the country.

The ex-international football turn football technocrat , speaking to sports writers, after inspecting the main bowl at  Sani Abacha stadium , Kofar Mata ahead of the commencement of the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier League, NPL season disclosed that  his delegation has inspected the bulk of the stadiums designated to host matches  in the Nigeria Premier  League, NPL  saying they  need  repair works.

Nasiru  who spoke in Hausa language   said his  inspection team though were yet to inspect  the stadiums in  Gombe, Lafiya and Awka, adding  all the  stadia  so far visited  by his team are in need of dire repairs.

He though  decline further comments on the general state of football stadia in the country, he however said it is a  banal global tradition  for  football stadia to undergo repairs often.

He revealed that the committee in the coming week will  file its report to the football authorities, in it stating  the outcome of their findings

Speaking on the outcome of their visit to Sani Abacha stadium, he said they inspected the press gallery, dressing rooms amongst others,  Nasiru  then appealed to eager  Kano football fans to await the outcome of their findings, which will be communicated to the public through the appropriate channel.
