The spate of hooliganism recordedin the ongoing 30 Match Days old Nigeria Professional FootballLeague season is unacceptable and worrisome , Nigeria Professional Football League Club Owners have decry.
The club owners , in a communique issued at the end of its quarterly meeting held at Reno hotel, Abuja “ in strong terms condemn the spate of violence at some league venues.
The club owners appealed to football authorities in Nigeria to hold their various state Football Association where such acts of hooliganism are executed as responsible as against the tradition of punishing the clubs .
“the state FA instead of clubs should be held accountable for any breach of peace at league venues, since they are responsible for the provision of security.”
The club honcho’s also decry what they described as communication gap between the league Club Owners, League Management Company, LMC and Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, urging for measures tobridge the gap in the overall interest of the league.
