NNL Super eight : Kano Pillars fc fans, coach Evans , express worries over players poor performance

Kano Pillars fc fans have expressed their worries over the poor technical display by their darling side in the just concluded group stages in the NNL campaign.
The fans reacting, after the Kano football warlords narrowly snatched an NNL Super Eight ticket , after defeating Sokoto United 1-0 did not conceal their lack of faith in the performance of the team.
Idris Kofar Mata , in a chat after last Saturday’s NNL encounter involving Sai Masu Gida said “ I am disappointed with the way, our team played against Sokoto United, ordinarily our opponents should not be a problem, but we only managed to score a goal, which saved us.”
A top football tactician, who does not want his name on print said “ no, no, no, if this is how Pillars would go to the NNL Super Eight, then there is a problem.
Our correspondent reports that the Kano fans were kept on the edges of their seat throughout the duration of the game.
Many resorted to open outburst over what they described as the poor coordination in the manner the team played on the day.
The Kano fans jeered at every substitution made by the technical crew lead by coach Evens Ogenyi.
In a post match interview , Kano Pillars fc , Technical Adviser , Evans Ogenyi, also expressed his dismay over the performance by his tutored side.
He said “ actually the match did not live up to my expectation, but what matters is the three points, my team today did not live up to my expectation.”
“with God all things are possible, I believe Kano Pillars fc will come out among the teams that will qualify back to the NPFL.
He appealed to the club fans to be patient and tolerant, he assured Kano Pillars stakeholders that , he would pilot the team back to the echelon of club football in Nigeria.
In his words “ the fans should be patient with us, we will make them happy, they should continue to pray for us, we will not disappoint them.”
Patrick Meze struck home in the 81st minutes of play to hand Pillars 1-0 victory over their visitors, Sokoto United fc to gain the ticket to play in the 2023 season NNL super eight.
The jittery home crowd booed the removal of Rabiu Ali and Kokoette, in the 75th minutes of play.
Earlier the Kano fans also raised a rowdy voice objection to the pulling out of the duo of Yusuf Abdullahi and Ekejapha Augustine.
