NPFL: Homeless Kano Pillars Return’s Back To Sani Abacha Stadium

League management Company, LMC organizers of the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL has granted temporal permission to Kano Pillars football club to return back to their traditional home ground at Sani Abacha stadium ,Kofar Mata, Kano.

LMC in a missive dated  9th June 2022 dispatched to Kano Pillars  cited the decision to permit Sai Masu Gida a return back  their home ground  is due to the closure of their new home at  MKO Abiola  stadium , FCT Abuja.

Further, LMC explained that the temporal permission was due to lack of stadia to be used by Kano Pillars  to honour their home matches.

The letter signed by Salihi Abubakar, Chief Operating Officer, COO of the management company, stated that the company have received formal assurances from the Nigeria Police  force Kano command, which assured the league company that adequate security will be provided , prior, during and after the NPFL league matches involving Sai Masu Gida  that will be played at SAS.

LMC note that, KPFC matches will played behind closed doors, adding that for the purpose of clarity only accredited persons would be allowed into the stadium.

Salihi added that for the purpose of clarity,  only 35 persons from the side of the home and away clubs will be allowed to access the stadium during  KPFC   home matches at SAS.

Further stating that  25 persons from the  state FA will be allowed  access to  the match, adding that only 10 journalists will be accredited  to cover  KPFC  home  games.

He warned that the league company will  use KPFC match day 33 game against Wikki Tourist, next Sunday  to asses the level of  compliance with the conditions set by LMC regarding  KPFC home games.

Our correspondent reports that Kano Pillars , who were banished to MKO Abiola stadium, FCT Abuja became homeless, after  the Federal Ministry of Youths and Sports ordered the closure of the  Abuja sports edifice from all local games  for maintenance purposes, in compliance with best standard practices.
