Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL , referee,  Salawudeen Yunusa has hanged his whistle.

The  fair skinned popular referee, who fell in the pool  of officiating officials, who failed this year’s  FIFA fitness test had   disclosed his decision to quit via his  social media handles.

He failed the test held at Moshood Abiola stadium, Abuja last Monday.

He thanked the football fraternity for the love and support given to him, while his career lasted, specifically ,Kano state Football Association, KSFA, NRA,  and NFF.

  1. He did the Honourable thing and I respect him for that. I wish him luck in his future endeavours. I’ve been privy to information about these referees; some passed the fitness tests but never get to be promoted to officiate NPFL games. While in the past, some that failed the test or even failed to show up always get games because they are the chosen ones. The association needs to be purged
