A crop of top Super Eagles players have failed to honour the invitation for an international friendly match against Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in Austria, citing injury problems.
Super Eagles coach, Gernor Rohr confirmed to sports writers that out of the nine defenders invited for the friendly games lined up, six have declined to report to camp, citing various degrees of knocks.
Leading the pack of players that have sent in their request to be excused from the friendly game are, Victor Osimen with knee injury, Ola Aina, who has cited suffering from an ankle knock.
Simy Nwankwo, Tijjani of Salzburg and Frank Onyeka from Midjtylland have all sent their medical evidences used to solicit for an approval to be excused from national duty.
