WAFU B U17 TOURNEY: How Golden Eaglets of Nigeria Walloped Ghana’s Black Starlets 4-2

Nigeria’s U-17 national team, Golden Eaglets have secured a superior 4-2 victory over arch rival Black Starlet of Ghana, in the WAFU B U 17 regional football competition, last Saturday in Cape Coast Town, in Ghana.

Nigeria’s wing back Emmanuel Michael opened score for the Golden Eaglets courtesy of a free kick free-kick in the 12th minute.

Nigerian Eaglets through forward Precious Tonye Williams made it 2-0 before half time.

Nigerian lad stretched the lead in the 51st minute through Jubril Opeyemi Azeez.

The Ghanaian substitute Abdul Razak Salifu found the net to reduce the tally.

The Eaglets in the 77th minute, through midfielder Ebube Wisdom Okere made it 4-1 for Nigeria.

Ghana got a penalty with two minutes to the end of the party.

NFF .COM reports that “With the victory, the Eaglets top Group A of the championship ahead of their clash with Togo on Tuesday. Victory over the Togolese will guarantee Nigeria a spot in the tournament semi finals.
